ITIL® 4 is here!
ITIL® 4's release date has officially been announced for 2019. The next generation in ITIL has been designed with the modern digital world in mind and aims to help organizations transition from today's ways of working to preparing for tomorrow's.
As always, ITIL will continue to support IT teams in their efforts to support businesses as a whole. It provides an invaluable digital operating model for businesses that offer tech-enabled products and services. This end-to-end model will also offer important practical support to emerging technologies.
ITIL 4 incorporates much of the content of ITIL V3, so existing investments in ITIL are protected, but ITIL 4 highlights the importance of a holistic view and collaborative work to successfully deliver products and services.
What does this mean for ITIL V3?
ITIL V3 continues to be recognised as a credible IT certification and the exam will remain available until AXELOS announces that the certification will be retired.
