By design, ITIL 4 can also help organisations to use Agile, Lean and DevOps approaches. And integrate end-to-end value streams by working with developers, the business, and other stakeholders.
The latest evolution is more holistic and collaborative. The framework now consists of six certifications which introduce new business and customer-focused concepts, making it relevant to non-ITIL practitioners as well as IT professionals around the world.
Who is ITIL 4 Foundation for?
ITIL 4 Foundation is the pre-requisite certification for the other five that comprise the ITIL 4 Managing Professional and ITIL 4 Strategic Leader designations.
It is the first step of a professional’s journey and will help them understand how IT and digital service providers can be more efficient and effective in the digital era.
What will I learn on an ITIL 4 Foundation course?
ITIL 4 Foundation teaches you the key concepts of ITSM and gives you a solid grounding in the fundamental concepts and terminology used in the framework, including the four dimensions of service management, the service value system, the service value chain and the seven guiding principles. What are my options for training?

The most popular option with our customers is our self-paced e-learning that you purchase with a 12-month licence. Available in both English and German, the course includes the e-learning content, the official manual, and the exam. The learning takes about 10 – 12 hours to complete, and when you’re ready, you can book the exam, as long as it’s within the 12-month validity period.
Like all our e-learning courses, our fully accredited ITIL 4 Foundation e-learning has been developed from the official syllabus, and created by our subject matter experts, technical developers and learning development specialists.
It consists of several bite-size sessions, combining leading-edge multimedia and interactive exercises for optimum enjoyment and knowledge retention.
Our live virtual classroom courses are ideal for anyone who wants to learn from home, but would prefer instructor-led training. Run by our passionate and experienced trainers, our virtual courses are highly interactive, with plenty of opportunity to ask questions and join breakout sessions with other delegates.
The Foundation certification is a two-day virtual classroom course which means you can be qualified in less than a week! You will need to book your own exam, which you will take via remote proctor, as they’re not scheduled for you.
Our classroom courses are growing in popularity again, after a couple of years where learning with a group of people in a physical classroom, just wasn’t an option. Again, our highly knowledgeable trainers create an interactive learning environment, where you will benefit from all the experience they have in the subject.
