Helped Pass ITIL4 Foundation Certification in first attempt with 95% score.

ITIL4 Foundation online course was very useful to help me pass the ITIL4 Foundation exam in first attempt. Pass Pledge feature is very good as it allows free second attempt and serves as a comfort factor. I didn't have to use Pass Pledge though as I passed the exam in first attempt with score of 95%.

How Covid-19 has led to an acceleration of digital transformation

We all knew change was coming in learning. For several years, the world of L&D has been heading towards a more digital approach and the opportunities it offers. Some organisations embraced it with open arms more than a decade ago, but for others, the attraction and familiarity of face-to-face training is not something they want to leave behind just yet – their journey has been a much slower one.

But then the coronavirus pandemic hit, and the choice was taken out of our hands. With lockdowns impacting almost everyone in some way, traditional classroom learning has been very challenging (if possible at all), and a lot less appealing for many. Suddenly we were all propelled towards digital learning, as it was the only option if we wanted to continue investing in our people and our businesses. Lucky for all of us, the industry is constantly evolving, and digital learning is a fantastic option for upskilling teams.

Innovators and early adopters

At ILX, we started our ‘digital transformation’ a few years ago now. We have long known that good quality, self-paced e-learning, that is centred around the learner, has a positive impact on knowledge retention… which ultimately helps learners to be more effective in their roles. And nowhere has that been more apparent than with our ITIL 4 Foundation students.

Maybe it’s their bias to online learning, maybe it’s the innovators and early adopters amongst them, but there is no doubt, take up of our ITIL 4 e-learning has surpassed our expectations.

And it’s not hard to see why. ITIL has been around since the early 1990s, and as the technology industry has matured, so has IT service management (ITSM). As more businesses undergo digital transformations, ITSM is increasingly seen as a strategic competence linked directly to value creation.

Recognising this change, AXELOS introduced ITIL 4 in early 2019, its latest update to the ITIL framework. This version expands on the previous iteration, ensuring that it better reflects today's business and IT environment, whilst also remaining flexible so that it’s complementary to other methodologies, such as agile and DevOps.

For the people in IT and IT operations, ITIL 4 is about delivering better customer experiences and improving effectiveness. It’s also a great way to build a career – giving students a proven framework to hang a longer-term development plan on.

For the business, ITIL 4 is about making the most of their IT investments whilst delivering great products and services to customers. And with IT at the heart of business these days, it could not be more important.

The great accelerator

The coronavirus pandemic has pushed digital transformation up the agenda for a large number of businesses – in many cases it’s the catalyst for increased investment. And ITIL 4 has a pivotal role to play, as it guides businesses through that change.

To survive, businesses have had to transform their operations and increase their use of digital technologies, reducing their dependence on in-person interactions

To thrive, businesses and organisations must rethink their business models and operations, and rebuild them to take full advantage of 4IR technologies

In the world of learning, this obstacle provided the necessary innovation to transform the way we deliver training, from a primarily ‘face-to-face’ model to a ‘digital first’ model… whether that’s via self-directed e-learning, or on MS Teams, Zoom, etc. The way we access learning has changed forever.

Online learning is suited to today’s reality

At ILX Group we have developed a comprehensive digital learning pathway for the entire ITIL 4 syllabus. Our world-class, accredited e-learning courses have been developed from the official syllabus, and created by a team of subject matter experts, technical developers and learning development specialists. They offer you a self-directed learning option that can be completed at your own pace, from anywhere with an internet connection.

Each interactive course also benefits from a variety of features designed to enhance the learning experience, including rich-media content, gamification, revision pads, exam simulators and access to the ILX tutor panel.

There are seven core modules within the ITIL 4 syllabus, which together provide students with everything they need to develop a career in IT operations. They take you through the five ITIL levels from Foundation, through Specialist, Strategist, Leader and ending with ITIL Master.
