ITIL V3 Intermediate Capability Stream
The full syllabus for the service capability qualifications has not yet been finalised, however it is expected that the courses will be approximately 4-5 days long with a scenario based, multiple choice examination and the end of the course.
Each course will cover the following topics:
- Planning, protection and Optimisation
Capacity; availability; continuity; security; demand and risk management - Service Offerings & Agreements
Portfolio; service level; catalogue; demand; supplier; financial management - Operational Support & Analysis
Event, Incident, Request, Problem, Access, Service Desk, Technical, IT Ops, and application management - Release, Control & Validation
Change, Release and deployment, validation and testing, asset and configuration, knowledge, request fulfillment, and service evaluation management
The lifecycle module courses and exams are expected to be available early in 2008.
