Getting ITIL Certified - what are my options?
If you are new to ITIL then why not start with the latest version - ITIL V3 which was released in May 2007 and is a complete refresh of ITIL V2.
If you or your organisation have already been using ITIL V2 then you may wish to consider bridging your accreditation to ITIL V3.
If you have decided to stay with V2 for now then here are your training options:
ITIL Foundation qualification is a pre-requisite to any further ITIL studies and in which you will learn ITIL basics and terminology.
When you have your ITIL Foundation qualification you can either choose one or more of the ITIL Practitioner qualifications in order to specialise in a particular area of ITIL or get your ITIL Manager's Certificate which is suited to service managers.
Choose the ITIL V2 training course that is right for you:
Learn ITIL basics and terminology. ITIL Foundation can be studied on its own or as a pre-requisite to the ITIL Practitioner or Managers certificate course.
Perfect for those who would use the ITIL Process on a day to day basis as it explains why
and how it is used.

Become an ITIL Practitioner in a specific area by putting the theory from your ITIL Foundation course into practice with one of the specialised ITIL practitioner courses.
Perfect for those in charge of specific areas as it concentrates on specific modules.

Become an ITIL manager by learning to manage the ITIL implementation/ Process including design, planning, deployment, operations and technical support.
Perfect
for those who are in charge of the ITIL implementation / process in the IT
department.
